April 2022

April was another busy month for us!! Not only did we say goodbye to our beloved Wiley Family we fell in love with another amazing family, The Wells Family. We will spend the next 3 months getting to know them and Jaxsons fight with Cerebral Palsy.

We also held our second annual The Good Run. This time around it was much cooler temps and the weather couldn’t of been any better! We had 140 runners and the fellas dominated this race and were the top 3 in the 10k and half marathon!

We wanted to take a minute to say thank you, because The Good Run was only possible because we have an amazing team behind us and our mission of doing good!

I would first like to thank all our AMAZING sponsors. Alicia Beaver, Realtor, EXP Realty Main Street, Miami Valley Gaming, Creative Contracting, Inc. - Stan Better Construction, TZ Containers, Chance Custom Homes, & Hauser Heating & Air Conditioning. Without these businesses stepping up to help this event would have never been possible!

We also want to say thanks to The Monkey Bar & Grille for allowing us to team up again, it’s such a perfect place to hold a race and already has everything you need for an after party! We would also like to say a HUGE thanks to Chris from RacePenguin, last year we did this alone and I can’t say how thankful I am that I had Chris running all the logistics! It was a huge stress reliever having him and I was able to enjoy the day watching all the runners cross that finish line! And we can’t forget DJ Chris, he kept the music flowing and the runners moving!!

Next I would like to thank all our vendors that set up just for our runners! Alicia Beaver, Realtor, EXP and family, Mike from JackRabbit Loveland, Kristy White with Modere, Sweet Joy, & Orange Theory Fitness Montgomery plaza. You guys were amazing to work with and we are so thankful you took the time to come and support our mission! I also want to give another shoutout to Custom Traffic Solutions LLC for keeping our runners safe while crossing at the Powder Factory.

Last but not least I would like to say thank you to our incredible volunteers! I don’t know how I was so blessed with amazing friends and family! John Acree thank you for capturing the day with not only your camera but bringing the drone out for some fun footage! We can’t wait to see the highlight video! All our water station volunteers, Stephanie Abbott, Courtney Vome, April Toups Vearil, Stacey Spaeth, Angie Allison, Katey Gallagher, Stacia Hartwig Rumbarger, Gracie, Mandy Beamer, Bryson, Jen Gavey and family! Thank you to our SOZO Loveland Church family who donated and volunteered, Tara Peele & Linda Swartz.

I can't forget to also thank two guys I can always count on! My husband Will, without you I would never believe that I could pull this off. Having you makes me feel like nothing can go wrong. Lastly JR Vearil, thank you for always being there no matter how early and no matter what kind of help we need!

Just one week later we had our monthly Do Good workshop and this time it was all about Earth Day! The kids made wildflower seed bombs out of blue and green construction paper, water, and seeds. These bombs can then be thrown on a trail, in your backyard, garden, or really anywhere there is soil! Wildflowers are great for our pollinators and keeping the Earth healthy and they are super easy to grow!

After they made seed bombs they spent the next hour with The Split Leaf Co planting their very own Fairy Succulent Garden! Each child got a pot, soil, 4 succulents, and a variety of Fairy accessories! The kids had a blast and this would make such a fun birthday party idea!
