Fall 2021

After two large events the Do Good Team took a few weeks off to enjoy some quality family time. In that time our very first story The Billmans took their long awaited trip to Gatlinburg and we are happy to hear Hannah is doing wonderfully and really enjoyed riding the trolley and seeing the mountains. We also sent our big raffle winner Gloria Hillegass and family on a 3 night stay to Gatlinburg! Both trips were courtesy of D. Alexander Homes and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Late August our neighbors' home caught on fire. Luckily they were not home at the time but they lost everything. Her 6 year olds son was damaged the most. Do Good quickly went to work and with the help of the community we were able to get her and her son clothes, toys, shoes, gift cards, and other basic necessities. We’re happy to report they are still living in the neighborhood, while they rebuild their home.

We also got in touch with an amazing 5 year old named Carolina. At 3 ½ years old, Caroline was diagnosed with Vein of Galen Malformation, an extremely rare abnormality in the brain. In the last 3 years she has had 5 brain surgeries. We held a cornhole raffle to help raise money for her family and look forward to working more with them in the coming years.

We finished the last of the Morrow Market’s with a game booth and participated in the Maineville Trunk or Treat where I was approached about being nominated as Resident of the Month for Hamilton Township for all the work Do Good does. It was an amazing honor and I absolutely love the town I live in. You can read the article here.

We also got our new space at the Morrow Arts Center set up and have some amazing ideas on how to utilize the space to best suit our community! Check back in January to see all the new changes!

A special thank you to all of our individual donors, without you we would not exist. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
