January 2022- A new year, a new Do Good!

We are going on our third year with Do Good Mission and we felt there was more we could be doing!! We decided to focus on 3-4 families a year and work with them for 3 months so we could maximize our impact for them!

I stumbled across our first feature story, The Wileys while on facebook. When I saw they had both their daughters with different life threatening illness I knew I had to reach out! We quickly got to work sharing their story and starting a fundraiser page. The support from the community was amazing! We also held a fundraiser at Goshen Skyline and have a few fundraisers in the works for February!

Another thing we decided we needed to do was do more for our community. That’s where our Do Good Workshop comes into play! The last Saturday of the month we host a different theme that will foster kindness and community service to our youth. This month we had 25 kids come together to make 168 Valentine Day cards for our local nursing homes! It was amazing to see how excited they were to give to others! We can’t wait to deliver the cards come February!

The other things we realized was that we had a great space at The Morrow Arts Center. Our studio most of the time sat empty. We decided one way we could help our community was to offer our space for multiple reasons. Homeschool co-op groups, girl scout meetings, play dates, birthday parties, book clubs….etc. As of now you can book our space for free, however donations are always appreciated!

With all the additions to Do Good, we thought it was time to bring in some help! We added 3 new members to our team. Katey Gallagher, Dawn Murray, and Stacia Rumbarger will be a huge asset to our event team! We are excited to see what 2022 brings to Do Good Mission!
