Dec 2019 Story - The Lowery Family

The December story hit really close to home for us. The Lowery Family has seen first hand the effects of the heroin epidemic that we all know too well. I would venture to guess that everyone who watches this story can say they know someone who has been addicted or worse.

In 2017, there were nearly 8 million children living with family members that were not their parents. In 2019, those numbers are projected to grow by more than 10%. Thank you to the Lowery Family for sharing their story and showing us the amazing impact that grandparents can have in the lives of children.

Do Good was able to help the Lowery Family, through the amazing generosity of our sponsors. Thank you so much to Pete Delois’ Recreation Outlet. Pete met with us personally and helped us pick out the perfect play set for the kids - who rely on it for therapy. Our home church - SOZO Loveland - also came together to give the Lowery’s an amazing Christmas. Last, but not least, we’d like to thank Kristy White for running a promotion on her safer skincare products and donating the proceeds to Do Good.

Thank you to all of our sponsors for going above and beyond for this amazing family.
