In our heartfelt journey alongside the Campbell family, we've been privileged to witness a narrative of unwavering strength, resilience, and boundless love. Ali, a devoted wife and mother of three incredible children—Karli (14), Maci (8), and Easton (4)—embarked on a challenging battle against stage 4 breast cancer, facing each day with remarkable grace.
The Campbells, who once reveled in the simple joys of camping trips, softball games, Reds games, and precious family moments, found their lives taking an unforeseen turn. Ali's initial diagnosis of stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer marked the beginning of a courageous journey. From 16 rounds of chemotherapy to a mastectomy, the family faced the cruel reality of the cancer spreading to Ali's lymph nodes, pushing her to stage 3. Despite enduring 25 rounds of radiation, June 2020 brought the devastating news—it had reached her spine, escalating to stage 4.
This wasn't the life the Campbells had envisioned. Ali, who diligently followed treatment plans and had a robust support system, encountered unexpected challenges. Lesions persisted despite radiation, presenting an ongoing battle. In November 2022, a medication switch finally brought a glimmer of hope. Tumor markers decreased, and Ali's cancer stabilized after four grueling years. It was a much-needed ray of hope for Ali and her family.
With your incredible support, we achieved our fundraising goal, securing $6,000 to cover Ali's medication costs throughout 2024. This ensures she can focus on creating cherished moments with her family, free from the burden of medication expenses.
Beyond the financial support, the Campbell family has received extraordinary gifts. Thanks to Wilstem Ranch, they have an All Access Pass for a Drive Thru Safari, providing memorable encounters with elephants, a sloth, a giraffe, and kangaroos. D. Alexander Homes has generously offered them a trip to Sedona, including the awe-inspiring experience of witnessing the Grand Canyon.
