It is with heavy hearts that we remember Caylee, a vibrant soul who graced our lives with her presence. At just 15 years old, she faced challenges that many couldn't comprehend, ultimately succumbing to the pain she carried. March 14th, 2023, marked the day Caylee left us, leaving behind a void that can never be filled.

Caylee's story is one of resilience, marked by her unwavering kindness and infectious smile. An avid soccer enthusiast, she radiated positivity despite the hardships she endured. Battling anxiety and depression, Caylee faced the untimely loss of her father at a young age due to cancer and years later her uncle to a car accident, further burdening her tender heart. Trapped in an abusive relationship during her freshman year of high school, the vibrant spark within her began to dim.

Today, we not only mourn the loss of Caylee but also advocate for open conversations about mental health, particularly among adolescents. Suicide is a harrowing reality, and it's vital for parents, friends, and educators to engage in those difficult discussions. We had the opportunity to speak with Will Cates, the Mental Health Coordinator at Caylee's school, shedding light on the importance of addressing this epidemic.

In the face of tragedy, the community rallied together through Do Good, raising over $30,000 to ensure Caylee received a beautiful service. While we cannot erase the pain her loved ones endure, we hope that Caylee's story becomes a catalyst for change. Let her legacy inspire us to reach out, to listen, and to support those who may be silently battling their demons.
