July 2021 Story - The Robbins Family

This is the Robbins family and the story of brotherly love.

Their youngest son Oliver was diagnosed with Leukemia in the fall of 2020. Their world was turned upside down. Oliver was immediately admitted to the hospital where he spent the majority of this last year.

Their oldest son Marley was often placed with family and friends for extended periods of time. During this time he never once complained and was often a HUGE support for his parents. His parents wrote into us explaining how much they appreciated Marley and how they wanted him to know that he matters too.

Marley’s story was one that was often untold. No one seems to talk about the siblings of cancer patients. They often get overlooked. We wanted other kids in Marley’s situation to know they aren’t alone.

*October 2021 Oliver was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. He fought the best he could but on October 21st he passed away with his family at his bedside. It is hard to think that just 2 months prior we sat down and talked to Oliver. He was so full of life and had this witty personality that just made you smile. You could tell that he knew his parents and brother loved him and it was very clear how much he loved them. He is someone we will never forget.
